Professional values and educational needs in mental health professionals: survey results

BACKGROUND: Exploring the professional values and educational needs of future practicing mental health specialists is required to develop effective measures aiming at improving their skills interest in work.
 AIM: Our aim was explore Russia.
 METHODS: We conducted a survey that captured socio-demographic data, characteristics, values, needs. Fisher's exact test, logistic regression, k-means cluster analysis were used our statistical analysis.
 RESULTS: The included 133 participants, 71% whom had completed postgraduate education. following items mentioned as important by respondents: Job opportunities, Stimulation intellectual activity, Work-life balance. most popular options for activities English language (63.4%), principles evidence-based medicine developing conducting scientific research (59.4%).
 In comparison with specialists, respondents who not yet education more interested curriculum vitae (39% vs. 60%, p=0.044) communication (49% 77%, p=0.0048). Compared male respondents, female (47 70%, p=0.0165).
 A showed attached importance almost all those did not, aimed (64% 41%, p=0.0287), learning about (70% p=0.0063), participating journal clubs 11%, p=0.0193).
